Connecting the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) with Local Foods, Nutrition Education, & Classroom Cooking!  

Not sure what to do with the fresh rutabaga and turnips just delivered to your classroom? In this workshop you’ll learn about how your schools Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP) is not only an opportunity to incorporate nutrition education into your classroom while providing a free healthy snack, but is also an opportunity to support your neighborhood farmer by buying local! In this workshop you’ll learn about valuable Vermont specific resources, hands-on activities and classroom connections to help inspire your snack program and make a difference in students’ diets to impact their present and future health!
