Farm & Food Curriculum Connections- 6-12

While much Farm to School focuses on the Elementary School level, there is little follow through as youth enter Middle and High School. At least in the Brattleboro area, this is a major gap that people are working to solve.  There is no reason that Middle and High School students shouldn’t continue learning about farms and food!

Join experienced teachers from the Winchester School in NH as they share from their four years of experience in linking their school gardens to classroom curriculum.

Good morning! I am a biology teacher at Scarsdale High School in New York and we are developing many labs and activities that utilize the outdoors as the classroom where appropriate. I am very interested in the activities you have mentioned for 6-12 grade for Farm and Food curriculum initiatives. Would you be able to send me a copy of the activities you have planned for this age group? Thanks so much!
